Hi, Sean.

My GETURI utility (http://www.bvstools.com/geturi.html) as well as HTTP API
will allow you to do this very easily. This was written many years ago to
"scrape" web sites to get refunds on shipping (before there really were web
services). It then morphed into quite a powerful web service consuming
application.

It allows you to make the request and return the result to a PF, a stream
file in the IFS or if you're using the API, to a variable in your program.

It includes many customizable HTTP headers as well as user defined headers
which are nice when the project requires custom headers.

GETURI has a command and "API" interface to it. Here's a link to an
article that shows an example of how to use it:

Feel free to contact me off line with any questions. You are more than
welcome to download a free trial. Thanks!

Hello all,

Has anybody used RPGLE to consume a web service using the HTTPAPI (or other
technologies).

I need to send a parameter to the web service and receive a reply in my
rpg
program.

If anybody has either a working example or good links for more information
on this theme then please pass it on to me.

Thanks in advance for the help.
