RNF5343: Array has too many omitted indexes; specification is
ignored.

From the manual:

Rational Development Studio for i: ILE RPG Language Reference -
%SUBARR (Set/Get Portion of an Array)

"%SUBARR(array:start-index{:number-of-elements})

Built-in function %SUBARR returns a section of the specified array
starting at /start-index/. The number of elements returned is
specified by the optional /number-of-elements/ parameter."

I wish to copy 15 elements from this array, beginning with element
1. What am I not seeing?

Are you perhaps looking too closely at the right-side of the assignment, thus "not seeing" what is\defines the left-side of the assignment?

FWiW: The readers of the OP can not know how any variable shown was declared, without more [of the declarative] source being provided; i.e. providing more than just the statement being diagnosed as an error is apropos, for enabling readers better, to assist the author of the inquiry.
