I've done side by side subfiles and it works OK, but it is four different formats. I am trying to avoid that. A separate window may be the only choice in the end.

There have been efforts to simulate subfile behavior side-by-side - I
think the Sofbro case tool Genesis could do this - coding is not simple,
seems to me.

I wondered about using UIM - User Interface Management - stuff - panel
groups are the display objects for that - all the Work With... screens
are panel groups.

A panel group consists of 1 or more panels - these can have different
types - a list type is like a subfile - I could not see whether these
can be side-by-side - how to use these is in the Application Display
Programming manual - last I saw is for 6.1, haven't looked to see if
there is anything newer - it doesn't change much these days.
