Subject: Re: Alternative job title for RPGLE Programmer / Analyst
When somebody asks what I do, I say I'm a computer programmer.
What I actually do can be summed up as "all of the above".
Of course you want something fancier on resumes and job listings, of
which I can't think of one good one.
I've used titles including Solutions Architect, Database Architect,
Programmer/Analyst, Systems Analyst, Developer, Technical Specialist,
Security Officer, plus many more.
On the IBM i, don't they all mean the same?
Yours truly,

All,--
Programmer / Analyst seems to be considered an "outdated" job title.
But for small shops, without a separation between Developer/Software
Engineer and Business Analyst I don't know of a more modern title.
Curious if any of you have run across any good alternatives.
Thanks!
Charles
