If you want to do a post and then get data it sounds like Brad GETURI or Scotts HTTPAPI would work.

Then return the data to your program and launch a web page via STRPCCMD or a commercial product like our iSeries Office Integrator.

Sounds quite doable unless I'm missing something.

subject: Re: How to launch a webpage using HTTPPOST

What I want is a RPG program do a post to a web page, just do a post to get
information just get information no launch the webpage yet, this webpage
will return back a few information that I do not have in the IBM I and
after the post I will have to Launch the web page with this information, as
Clark mentioned I already said to my client that I do not have a way to do
a post and launch a webpage like this, what I'm doing so far is using SQL
HTTP, SYSTOOLS.HTTGETCLOB and whatever comes from this I'm putting that in
a variable and launching the web page using STRPCCMD and this variable
which contain the URL and any Parameters that came back using
SQL SYSTOOLS.HTTGETCLOB and this is working but there are sensible
information in the query string that should not be seeing by the user. (I
know Scott Klement developed some api to do this but I was thinking If I
can do that using SYSTOOLS.HTTPOSTCLOB or any other way).

HTTPAPI or our GETURI (www.bvstools.com.geturi.html) will do a POST and let
you have access to the data returned.

It sounds like you want a web application to do a POST, get the
information, and update the page.

What type of web server is running that's doing the web page and what
development language/environment is it?

using a post in the same way HTTPGETCLOB can be used in SQL, Our Goal is
this we need to do a post to a webpage when we do the post we are going
to
get information back and then we are going to launch the webpage with
this
new information, we can not use get we need to use post.
