I'll second GoAnywhere. Product is extremely flexible and the support is top-notch.

Another commercial offering is GoAnywhere, from Linoma.
As part of our daily backup procedures, we generate an FTP script, which is
stored in a member of type "TXT" in a source physical file, and used as
"input" for the FTP command.
