The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.
If you just want to "catch" the user start journaling the table. You can then display the journal searching for journal code R and the name of the program in question. If you find any you have your culprit.
Thanks,
Gary Monnier

Subject: Preventing an update or delete
HI we have a program which is a subfile. It tracks company rebates. They would like to only allow the user to enter data. No delete and no update.
If they want that, they will ask us.
The reason is the company suspects some creativeness that the sales folks are doing.
My question is, what is the easiest and best way to accomplish this? Is there an indicator on the DDS level I can use that would protect the field on any other than enter?
