yes I see 5 names. My question is, what are the steps in getting to a
RPGLE object?
Let's start at the beginning.
You tried CRTBNDRPG.
You got 'RNF3788 DFTACTGRP(*NO) must be specified for a prototype that
does not have the EXTPGM keyword.'
I'm just guessing here, because you didn't post the actual CRTBNDRPG
command you used, but this particular error message is really clear: You
need to compile this program so that it does not run in the default
activation group. This naturally inspires the question 'What activation
group should I be using?' DSPPGM shows what parameter values you should
use to resolve that problem. In case you were having trouble picking
out the specific value for the activation group, I blocked it out for
you. Stripped of all the other information DSPPGM offers, here it is:
Activation group attribute . . . . . . . . . . : *CALLER
Here is the activation group you need.
Once you get past the problem with the default activation group, you are
very likely to run into another problem: Which service programs to bind
to. That's what this is for:
Number of service programs . . . . . . . . . . : 5
Keep pressing Enter to find the names of the service programs this will
need.
