Hi Dan

Good things to check - I have been pretty careful, but one is one's own worst editor, right?

Yes, for the file NOT to be processed by key, I have to leave the RAT blank - in free form, just leaving off the word "keyed".

Here are the f-specs - in free format -

DCL-F titles disk(*EXT) USAGE(*INPUT) usropn infds(tds);
DCL-F titlesl1 disk(*EXT) USAGE(*INPUT) KEYED usropn
infds(tl1ds) rename(TITLESR : TITLESL1R);

Program compiles OK.

NEXT!! :)

Vern,

It's been ages since I've done RRN access, but I seem to recall that the
Record Address Type on the file's F spec must be blank. If you're using
the same F-spec as when you were using the alpha key, I'm guessing the RAT
might be 'K'.

But, I'd be surprised that the program would compile in such a scenario.
Are there any errors in the job log that you didn't catch?
