Yep, noted. In this particular case i want to move a small set of data
from prod to dev.
It's interim (incoming) edi data, mapped into our edi 'work' files.
(afaik) we cant run gentran on the dev for this, so we do it on prod, then
move the data
to dev so we can test c/ to our pgms that process into the ERP.

I don't know what kind of dataset you're dealing with, but for me and my
prod to dev refresh, a concern with this approach would be all the

logicals

being rebuilt. With a full save and restore, the logicals/indexes don't
need to be rebuilt, but with this raw data approach, I'm thinking they

will

have to be.
