The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.

There is also another difference where some variations of EXTNAME can't be used with SQL.
For example this:
Dcl-ds RsInput Extname('FILENAME':*INPUT) Qualified End-Ds;
Exec sql Fetch testCursor into :RsInput;
Generates an SQL0312: Position 40 Variable RsInput not defined or not usable.
But, I personally prefer Extname over Likerec because it doesn't require the file spec.
