I dont know if this will work or not for what you need to do, but i have
done the below before.

John

utlty_ProcName() is a procedure in service program that has no parms. It
returns the name of the currently executing procedure. I have renamed it
to "Me" below in my calling program -

d-specs --
// rename procedure
d Me pr 256 varying
d extproc(gPPtr)
d gPPtr s * procptr

calcs --

gPPtr = %paddr(utlty_ProcName);

local procedure --

eMsg = %trimr(psds.Pgm) + '/' + Me()
+ ' error: ' + %trimr(psds.Msg) + '-' + psds.ExcDta;
