Thanks, Jon. I bet you recognize some of this? Your ITJungle article
inspired this test.

To help any others, my code was broke even further. The data structure name
MUST match the XML element names, in streamfile. I have "customers" (note
the S), for DS name. XML stream has "<customer>" (No S). I dropped the S
from DS name, and all worked fine.

Thanks for all received help.

It would also have worked if the the filed was fixed length but with a
length of the exact length of the file path you used. The way you had it
is was looking for a file with blanks at the right hand end of the name.

Thanks, Alan. Varying was correct resolution.

Field is not varying?

I'm playing with XML-INTO, for first time. When I run the below, I
receive
CPE3025, "No such path or directory."

/include qrpgcpy,psds

d customer_T ds Qualified template
d id 7a
d name 40a
d address likeds(address_T)
d address_T ds qualified template
d city 40a
d state 2a
d customers ds likeds(customer_T) dim(99)
d aCustomer ds likeds(customer_T)
d fileLoc s 25a inz('/home/LBAILEY/test.xml')
d i s 3i 0

/free

xml-into customers %xml(fileLoc: 'doc=file case=any');
for i = 1 to psdsXMLElements;
aCustomer=customers(i);
endfor;

*inlr = '1';

/end-free

I can copy/paste the value of fileLoc into a WRKLNK command, and it
shows
me the file. So I know there is no misspelling of path and file.

I'm missing something obvious, what am I missing?

Thanks for any help,
