... don’t waste your time writing embedded Java in RPG! first write a Java wrapper to be “called” from RPG and implement it as a server Job, waiting on a Q for events coming from RPG. You could use the open source framework AppServer4RPG (it’s the base layer of ArdGate) to manage interaction between Java and RPG. It performs 10 times better than embedded Java in RPG, is 100 times more scalable than JNI calls from RPG and much more stable – and you won’t have any classpath issues.
