Thank you, Jeff! That did the trick.

It works with OPTION(*NOUNREF) as well, which makes that option all the
more difficult to understand.

If you add the DEBUG option to your H spec (H Debug) you will be able to
see all of the variables.
Without that, the compiler does not make the values in the unreferenced
variables available in debug.
