SEU stuff pretty much works the same in RDi, except you get lots more lines to view at once and side by side editing. I also like the color coding and the instant checking of spelling and grammar.

The 60-day free trial might not be long enough time to convince you, but I'd bet a ham sandwich that it would.

If we had XEDIT (also green screen) instead of SEU, I

Hmm. The only XEDIT I've ever used was CDC XEDIT, at the University,
which is clearly a VERY different (and vastly inferior) animal from IBM
XEDIT.

(I still have fond memories of my two years of high school programming
on a 370/135 running McGill University's MUSIC operating system. Its
Context Editor was vastly superior to anything I dealt with prior to
about 1988, so much so that I even reverse-engineered a port of that
editor to TRSDOS.)

(Still using SEU, and we're still very much an SEU shop.)
