another subfile queston

I am changing a subfile app which uses the standard control record at the top
with a subfile beneath and a footer record at the bottom.

I want to add a report option to this display that will be valid after the user has
"processed" each row on the subfile.

I plan to enable the new input/output field when all active subfile rows have
been "completed".

My question is will I have any trouble adding an input/output field to the footer
which is currently display only, showing valid function keys ?
