Thanks to everyone looking at this and for the suggestions, even
volunteering to run their own debug over it.
After much thought I realize that this was a very poor design decision on my
part. That is, briefly the new subfile was added to be able to select a
price set on which to work. Instead, I should have written a separate
program/module, even though at this time I do not anticipate it being used
elsewhere. I must have been smoking some really bad "stuff" when I came to
this.
That in no way explains why the problem occurs, but it is just not worth
further analysis/investigation.

That was why I was thinking of you adding a line just before the EXFMT to
overwrite subfile record # 1. The sort of change that will break the
program dramatically often changes the view and the issue leaps off the
screen.
