I assume you're looking for an RPG solution?

I guess that's a reasonable assumption, given that he's posted his
question to the RPG list. However, the text of his question strongly
implies that he's looking for a Windows solution. Especially since
his existing Windows solution appears to be most of the way there
already.

For doing FTP from the i, there's probably nothing better than your
suggestion to use Scott's FTPAPI. I have nothing else to add on that
front.

However, on the Windows side, there are lots of good options, some of
which are at least as nice as FTPAPI, if not nicer. But I'm not going
to open that can of worms until I'm sure that Alan's existing Windows
scripts (perhaps with small tweaks) are not going to cut it.
