The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.
If it did Brian it would look like the COBOL support - and it wouldn't help you.
Problem is that all you can really do is output an XML structure that maps the DS (i.e. the reverse of XML-INTO) but with the problem that there is no obvious way to differentiate attributes from elements etc.
I'm among a number of people who, having seen what was done in COBOL, asked the RPG team not to waste money implementing it in RPG.
The solutions you have been offered here are _way_ more flexible.

I was hoping that the latest release of RPGLE would have Op codes similar to XML-Into / XML-SAX that write XML code to the IFS, and it looks like such a thing doesn't exist.
