I have no experience with that keyword. But, from creating numerous
Crystal Reports, I am a bit suspicous of your date. Specifically, the
century. Might it be a requirement that the value is 19 or 20? I know
that SQL 2000 soes not allow a century less than 18. Haven't worked with
SQL 2000 (Windows thing) in four years, but lowest date allowed, I think,
was 01/01/1800. I am guessing that rather than throwing an error, it just
got skipped. Which also seems odd.

Does anyone use the MAPVAL keyword? I am having the following issue,

My date field is defined like so:
A RPTDT L I 5 29DATFMT(*USA)
A MAPVAL(('01/01/0001' *BLANK))

I am reading into a data structure defined like this:
dcl-ds dsprec likerec(display: *all);

But when I read the record (using EXFMT), a blank keyed on the screen is
input as a blank which causes invalid format error when the field is used.

What am I doing wrong?
