I’ve used something like this many a time:

In the *INZSR...



* Initialize overflow indicator...

C Eval *IN10 = *On



Then on a detail time control break (remember those?)



* If overflow, write report headings...

C If *IN10

C Write HDG1

C Write HDG2

C Eval *IN10 = *Off

C Endif

C Write HDG3



And at Total time…



* If overflow, write report headings...

C If *IN10

C Write HDG1

C Eval *IN10 = *Off

C Endif
