Thanks, Buck. I was a bit unclear at the outset. I did want the defines
to affect only those compiles that I (and only myself) run from RDP.
Everything else is controlled by change management software. Just so I can
compile my junk test bed programs a different way is all. Putting it back
on the compile commands worked perfectly.

Could not decide whether RPG or WDSC list, so it ended up here.

Long ago I set up a /define that was visible to all RPG compiles. I
cannot
remember now where I did that -- but it seems like it is no longer there
(or no longer working) and I need to go stick it back in there. Any
ideas?

If you really mean ALL RPG compiles, even those submitted by PDM or by
hand from the command line, then perhaps you want to register CRTRPGMOD
and CRTBNDRPG and CRTSQLRPGI at the QIBM_QCA_CHG_COMMAND exit point.
That way, any process which tries to compile an RPG program will get
diverted to your code which presumably will add the /define you need.

All I find is this setting [Remote Systems/IBM i/Program Verifiers/ILE
RPG/Defines], but that setting doesn't do what I need (or it used to, but
has been broken since I set it up).

In RPD, Compile > Work With Compile Commands. Prompt and add the
/defines you want there. This of course will only work for your RDi
compile operations; you'd need to share this with colleagues. And it
won't at all affect CRTBNDRPG commands issued from a command line.
