My memory is that the key is defined on the F-spec. Then one would define 2 data structure for the key, with sub-fields for the partial keys, with inz(*loval) on the unused partial for one data structure and inz(*hival) for the other data structure. A SETLL gets you there, and a READ/DOU key > Datastructure 2 takes you home.
