In RPG, with a single page subfile the scroll bar is only useful for paging up and down a page at a time. Its not really very useful, except on a load-all subfile.

Here is a sample paging subfile, but with no scroll bar. I tried it with a scroll bar and the scroll bar looked useless.

But to use the scroll bar, just define it with the SFLEND keyword. The white slider will fill the slider tray because it has no way of knowing the size of the disk file, or where in the file you are currently displaying. Of course, since the slider fills the tray, the slider won't slide. The arrows at the top and bottom of the scroll bar can be clicked for page up & page down. Page up & page down whether by the page up & page down keys or by the mouse click, returns control to your program. You control the entire paging operation within your RPG program.
