The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.
To send a program message /to itself/ the procedure or program would
use in conjunction:
- _Call stack entry_ of '*' to indicate the "The current call stack
entry (that is, the one in which the program or procedure is using this
API is running)."
- _Call stack counter_ of zero to effect sending the message "to the
message queue of the entry specified by the Call stack entry parameter."
The prior messages in this thread seem to show an integer value of
one or two, instead of zero, for the /counter/ value; what I would have
called the /relative/ stack entry, had I documented that Send Program
Message (QMHSNDPM) API:

I did try to send the error message to itself. I've tried many of the
combinations hoping to trigger the event that causes the condition
handler to be invoked to no avail.
Using the '*ESCAPE' and '*' combo, the job will cancel, but the
condition handler is not invoked.
