That depends on the binding directory entry used when the programs were compiled.  If it said *LIBL for the service program's location, you can move it without problems, but if the library name was listed at compile time and you delete it from that library, you will have problems.

When another program calls a program that uses the SRVPGM, it errors out
(error indicator on call).

Now that I think of it, another thing that did DID change is where in the
library list the service program resides - it's in a different library now.

Does it have to be put in the same library it found it originally?
