Well it should be - %xfoot(dat(*).numbr1); based on the sort and search support but sadly %xfoot does not appear to have been enabled to work with DS arrays yet.

Looks like:

For i = 1 to %elem(dat);
sum += dat(i).numbr1;
EndFor;

Is your best option.
