I use them all the time with great success, in RPGLE and C mostly. MUCH
better than "templates". Can you not find the Snippets view?

haven't discovered yet or at 9.0? Really cool to have besides a outline
view a snippet view to get to snippets.

Snippets being what I like to think of as little pieces of code you can
copy into new sources you are developing.
