That was part of my confusion. There were two Return statements, and the second one would never fire. I knew it was wrong but I had to show it since I couldn't explain it.

In the end, I was making it way too complicated. It is working now, and its just what I wanted, all in less than 40 lines of code. This is a very long ways from RPGII.
