It takes only a few seconds to write a small "test harness" in CL, e.g.:

PGM
DCL &PARM1 *CHAR 100 VALUE('/this/is/a/test')
DCL &PARM2 *CHAR 3 VALUE('3 ')
CALL PGM(TARGETPGM) PARM(&PARM1 &PARM2)
RETURN
ENDPGM

Compile it in QTEMP and CALL it from the command line or from within STRDBG when debugging.

That's how I have been doing this, ever since I first learned of the anomalies that can happen when invoking the CALL command from the command line, with respect to the types and lengths of parameters.

Change your parameters (both) to 32 alpha, it will pass correctly.

Then to have a different size, make a command.
