Ask on a more appropriate list? And perhaps include what was the
failing RENAME request; i.e. the from and to [group] names; best the
prompted view vs the positional, to better explain the parameters to
rusty recollections.
FWiW: Try WRKAUTHLR instead of or in addition to WRKOBJ.
Also, I know almost nothing of "group files"... But is the "AP" the
/group designation/ and the error is suggesting that there are files
[deliberately plural] already with that group name prefix, not
necessarily that specific /name/ of "AP.FILE"?
