That seems rather surprising, given that you're a far better programmer than I, and I use The Cycle quite frequently.

Note that I can't recall ever using level breaks or secondary files, and frequently I don't use a primary file either, tying LR to something else (like the user indicating a desire to exit, or a system API indicating an end of data), but I'm not one to walk when I can ride The Cycle.
