RPGLIST,

If you run the following command:

DSPPGM PGM(library/program) DETAIL(*SRVPGM)

you will see all the service programs used by the program and the signature
required for each. They show up as hex values, and you can use F11 to
toggle between hex and character display of the signatures.

If you run the following command:

DSPSRVPGM SRVPGM(library/service-program) DETAIL(*SIGNATURE)

you will see the signature(s) for the service program.

If the signature required by the program is not on the list, then the
program will fail when you try to call it, with a signature violation error.

Scott thanks, the article helps a lot I appreciate it.

Lastly, is there a way to verify the signatures match? I thought I could
just perform a DSPSRVPGM and verify the signature ID matches the program
by performing a DSPPGM but a test program I created is showing 3 service
programs and with what appears to be an API name, and none of it makes
sense.
