The JDBCR4 source files I have loaded (including different server test example sources) make no mention of "foo."

Are you just curious about the 's', or do you have a specific question in regard to performing a certain task?

Subject: What is this construct: "foo = s(bar);"

Looking into Scott Klement's JDBCR4, I find numerous statements of the general form "foo = s(bar);"

But I don't see anything to indicate what "s()" is. I don't see any "s"
listed as a function definition, nor as an array definition; neither does it show up in the V6 RPG reference as a built-in function.

Could somebody please point this aging programmer in the right direction?
