ERP as in Enterprise Resource Planning ?
Yes, but it appears to me that the term "Enterprise Resource Planning" evolved from general purpose accounting systems of the late 70's and early 80's, which grew in scope over time. Now it seems that the acronym "ERP" may be used to characterize just about any broadly scoped business system; like this system is BIG, BIG, BIG, so it's an ERP class system.
