Calling BIRT from RPG -- RPG400-L

Hello

As our move to full Java is going to take some time we would I would
like to know if anybody has had any experience in executing a Birt
Report from a RPG batch programme. Is calling/using a web service the
way to go ? How is it best to pass any eventual parameters from RPG to
Birt ?
