This is an excel spreadsheet opened using Excel.

I suppose it depends on how it's opened. If it's a PF or LF opened
through RLA, then IF %OPEN(<filename>) should tell you.

If it's something in the IFS, or something opened through SQL, I'm sure
there must be something analogous.
