Subject: Error Messages Display

We have recently installed Motorola RF scanners. The scanners have Windows
CE for an operating system and use a program that provides 5250 emulation.

The issue is the programs that we have written (RPG DSPF) have been modified
to display all the information in the first 12 lines of the screen. This
keeps the display within the tiny screen displayed on the scanner. Even
though we have defined line 12 for error messages, the errors still appear
on line 24.

A 7 3'F3=Exit'

A 7 14'F4=Add'

A ERRMSG 18A O 12 3

A 29 ERRMSG('FIELD SCAN INVALID')

RF Scanner Screen

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

BBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBB

F3=Exit F4=Add

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
OOO

Anyone have any idea why the OS keeps repositioning the message line?
