Hi, Steve:

It is generally a "bad idea" to mix OPM and ILE *PGMs in the *DFTACTGRP. IBM specifically advises against doing that.

Whjy compile progrems with DFTACTGRP(*NO) and ACTGRP(*CALLER) if you are going to use them with CLP programs? CLP is an OPM CL program type that runs in the default acitvation group. You could change the CL member type to CLLE and then you can compile the CL as an ILE CL program that can run in another activation group, including *CALLER.

Compiling an ILE program (e.g. RPGLE) with DFTACTGRP(*YES) creates an "OPM compatible" program that can run correctly in the default activation group, and works correctly, e.g. if you issue RCLRSC in a CL program.

Hope that helps,

in our current production environment, it all works fine.......we are
upgrading to a92 and testing in the new environment and this where we are
having this problem.....anyone else on A92? Thanks

Need some input . We have a rpgle opm program that calls another program

that in turn call s a clp program. The call to the CLP program crashes
with this error:

Cannot resolve to object 000. Type and Subtype X'0201' Authority X'0000'.
Error occurred while calling program or procedure *LIBL/000 (C G D F).
It appears it does not find the object; yet if i qualify the call with
Lib/obj, it works fine.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated...Thanks. Steve J
