The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.
You can do this without any decimal conversion.
EVALR field_b = '000000' + %TRIM(field_a);

Subject: Right adjust zero fill character field
All,
I am having a brain freeze moment today.
I have a 20 byte character field that will contain up to 6 bytes of data
left adjusted.
I need to take the data from the first field and load it to a 6 byte
field padded with leading zeros.
ie: field a = '1234 '
I want field b to be '001234'
when field a = '12345'
field b = '012345;
Thanks,
