Again, if Jon wanted to do that, he could just make a copy of SBMJOB
with CPYENVVAR(*YES) and use an environment variable (which then
doesn't require any extra objects to exist).



Of course he could- that's why I originally noted that using a keyed data
queue and manipulating the job name would be my SECOND choice behind using
environment variables.

I'm simply responding to your questions about how to implement such a
solution- please don't interpret that as advocating it (DQ/jobname) over
using what seems to both of us as a more direct solution (EV).
