FWIW:
Validating triggers might prove useful in this process. For instance,
when someone keys a postal code, bring back the city/state/country. In
this way, there are no errors in those fields, plus no worker hours are
spent typing city/state/country.
Another piece of the process might be to build entry steps in such a way
as there can be no errors introduced. Using dropdown boxes or radio
buttons for certain fields, for example, ensures only acceptable
responses will be entered.
Using these sorts of techniques could well eliminate 60% of the usual
areas for errors to creep in, leaving you to focus on the other 40%.
Plus you are improving throughput time in production.
