Adding an alias will not cause RPG to level check.

But it did blow out our PHP/SQL stuff that used the old short names. They had to be changed to use the new long names. So for all the flak my PHP guy gives me when I have to change a field and recompile bunches of programs, this one's for him!

I ran a query manager query on the new alias file and it sure is nice to see real meaningful field names instead of 6 character names.
