I'm sure it's been done thousands of times by now. ;) But it's
probably squirreled away in thousands of ad-hoc programs.

EXCEL spreadsheet to control my results.

Which I've coded like this :

    MonthlyRate = interestRate /12;
     MonthlyPayment = ( LoanAmount / MonthlyRate ) *  ( 1 - ( 1 +
MonthlyRate ) ** ( -1  * numberOfPayments ));

I think we may have bigger problems here than whether to use decimals
or floats. Are you sure that's the formula?

(I haven't looked carefully at the LoanRemaining calculation, but I
figure it's better to concentrate on one formula at a time in any
case.)
