The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.
Use an 'I' (input), spec and rename individual fields in the record
format that you don't want to be touched.

Subject: Individually ignoring or renaming fields in an
externally-describedfile?
I've discovered some potential scatter-gather crosstalk between
like-named fields in different files.
Is there a way, short of PREFIXing the file, to rename (or simply
ignore) the fields that are potential crosstalk problems?
