Hi Mike
What you may have to do is use %editc with whatever edit code is appropriate and concatenate the currency symbol with the outcome of the %editc

Subject: The best way to write an RPG report that prints using currency symbols that can be changed dynamically
Has anyone come across a good example of how to write an RPG3 report that can handle different currencies?
E.g. the example I am looking for is where a single report can be run to print out columns with a dollar symbol or pound depend on a currency variable:
Some pages of the report would need to print out prices in dollars
Price
$123.45
$678.90
And on another page of the report to print out a column with prices in pounds:
Price
£123.45
£678.90
Google has turned up discussion about *CURSYM and about how to use the EDTWRD for floating currency symbols, but no examples of where currency symbols can be changed dynamically in the program.
Best regards,
Mike
