The date field is defined like this:

Tipo Long AlmacenaPosiciónntermedioCampo Cabecera
Campo Datos Campo Alm.Int Alm.Int Utiliz Columna
FSOLP DATE 8 8 13 Ambos Fecha
Solic.
Texto de campo . . . . . . . . . . . . . : Fecha Solic.
Información referida
Archivo referido . . . . . . . . . . . : FLDREF
Biblioteca . . . . . . . . . . . . . : P2
Formato de registro referido . . . . . : FR1
Campo referido . . . . . . . . . . . . : FSOLP
Atributos cambiados . . . . . . . . . . : Otros
Formato de Fecha . . . . . . . . . . . . : *DMY
Separador de fecha . . . . . . . . . . . : '/'
Identificador Juego Caracteres . . . . . : 284

Using DDS I can do it using "DATFMT(*DMY)", I just tried, and it did
work even after reading in the manual a note that says this format is
not valid for pysical files.

In SQL I could not get this format, I wonder if it is a good idea to
rebuild the file using something that may be outdated, or it is a better option to change and recompile everything.

I may be wrong, but I was under the impression that if a field is defined as a 'Date' filed it is
always stored in *ISO format.

The datfmt just told the system what format to convert the date to when it is displayed, etc.

But if the original problem is to create a table that looks like the old dds file, and the field is not
a date field in the dds, then it probably needs to be defined as numeric and 6 positions.
That should make it look to the system the same.

But the question of needing to to recompile all the programs that us the file still has not been
addressed. The old file will have a 'File level identifier' and if it is not the same as the old file
then there should be a level check.
