Presumably having prevented access to the data of the member, rather than the *FILE itself; regardless...

So how was that [the prevention of other jobs to access the file] effected? Just reverse that effect by the appropriate means; i.e.:
• If the lock was from a prior request to ALCOBJ ((TheFile *FILE *TheLckLvl TheMbrName)), then issue the inverse request DLCOBJ ((TheFile *FILE *TheLckLvl TheMbrName))
• If the lock was obtained by the [implicit or explicit] _open_ for a lock requested via the RCDFMTLCK() parameter of OVRDBF, then _close_ the file.
