There is a 90 day trial at the IBM website for RDI.

I am ashamed to say that I have made a few half hearted attempts at using WDSC but always seem to throw in the towel (do mostly to it slowing me down in the short term).  As a contractor, I must produce quick accurate code.  I find that my ability to do that while adapting to something new (WDSC) is comprimised.

This thread has motivated me to take another stab at something other than PDM for development.  Are there any no cost versions of wdsc or rdi?  As a contractor I don't have access to my own box or the utilities thereof..

Warmest Regards,

Richard Reeve

Henrik - I have _absolutely_ no idea what you are talking about. Sometimes a less terse reply might be useful.

I've been with the system-formerly-known-as-AS400 since 1986 (and the S/38 and S/36 before that) and moved to IDEs (Code/400, WDSC, RDp) the minute they became available.
